Every Knee Shall Bow

Our God is amazing. He is love, grace and mercy. His word tells us that there will come a day when every person will know just who He is, The King of Kings. At that very time, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is LORD of all and SAVIOR of mankind. Just knowing that this day is coming, sooner than later, creates a hope and joy among believers that nothing can extinguish.

When we look at worldwide conditions today, one cannot help but think that we may be quickly approaching this awesome day. The truth is, scripture appears to being fulfilled right before our eyes. Take a look at the increase of the devastating storms and earthquakes around the world and the unprecedented fires In the west that are destroying thousands of forrest along with property and homes. What about the strange illnesses of all kinds that people are experiencing. Even the biological, chemical and nuclear threats that keep our world on the brink of disaster. Another sign is the major increase of knowledge and technology In the last few years. These are only only a few of the biblical signs unfolding before us. Not to mention the latest plague that the entire world is dealing with, the Corona virus. Many who have chosen to ignore its warnings over the last several weeks, are today, passing this dreaded virus on to others and /or in quarantine fighting for their lives.

One of my purposes for writing the devotional “Every Knee Shall Bow” was to help its readers better understand and embrace the depth of God’s love and grace for them, In the midst of all this. God’s word is full of promises to protect His body, the church, but we must know, with those promises come a responsibility to seek Him with all our heart and learn how to love Him and others the way He has loved us.

We rejoice at Easter because “God has highly exalted Jesus and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that He is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Phil. 2:9-11).
